Senior Java Liferay Developer

Overview We are looking for a Senior Java & Liferay Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale portal and web applications using Liferay DXP and Java/J2EE technologies . If you have strong hands-on experience and enjoy working in Agile environments with global teams, this role is for you! Responsibilities Design & develop enterprise applications using Liferay DXP (7.x) and Java/J2EE Build and customize Portlets, Themes, OSGi modules, and REST APIs Integrate Liferay with backend systems & third-party applications Manage CMS, workflows, user roles, and access control Participate in architecture discussions & technical decision-making Perform code reviews and ensure best practices Troubleshoot production issues & optimize performance Support deployments, upgrades, and migrations Collaborate with US-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams Mentor junior developers Required Skills Strong experience in Java, J2EE, Spring (Boot/MVC), Hibernate/JPA 5+ years of Liferay DXP / Portal (6.x/7.x) Expertise in OSGi & Liferay modular architecture Experience with RESTful APIs & Microservices Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, jQuery Databases: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL Tools: Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines App Servers: Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic Agile/Scrum experience & strong communication skills Nice To Have AWS / Azure Cloud experience Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps exposure Liferay certifications Experience with US enterprise clients Knowledge of security & accessibility standards (WCAG) Notes All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, religious creed, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, military and veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by local law, regulation, or ordinance.
