Synergy , a leading Boston commercial real estate firm with a managed portfolio of over 6.5 million square feet across multiple asset classes, seeks a Senior Human Resources Manager to support our continued growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Human Resource function at Synergy. With the support from the Executive Team and our third-party partners, this role will develop and implement strategies that will attract, engage, develop, and retain employees building upon our high-performance culture. The Senior Human Resources Manager is a personable, results-oriented, multitasker who can handle a variety of day-to-day duties. This position works well independently while also collaborating closely with staff and department heads in a professional and empathetic manner. Reporting to the COO, this role is driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact on the organization. Core responsibilities include providing HR guidance, improving business practices, leading complex projects, and ensuring regulatory compliance. What You’ll Do: Talent Acquisition Partner with Hiring Managers to develop position profiles and understand staffing needs Source, screen, and qualify candidates prior to hiring team interviews Coordinate all recruitment logistics while delivering an exceptional candidate experience Maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System and keep the job description bank and org charts current Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates for future opportunities Track and report on active searches and talent acquisition metrics Deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience for all new hires Talent Management Partner with leaders to implement programs focused on retention, engagement, recognition, development, and organizational design Design and lead employee engagement initiatives, surveys, focus groups, recognition programs, and team building, that elevate the work experience and make employees feel valued and heard Serve as a trusted advisor on HR policy, employee relations, leaves of absence, and compensation Champion a culture that reflects Synergy's values and fosters belonging and inclusion Proactively check in to ensure all work groups are functioning positively and coach managers on performance management, employee development, and career pathing Transform the employee lifecycle, reimagining how Synergy attracts, develops, and retains top talent through growth opportunities, manager relationships, and culture Manage the performance review program and administer Synergy’s talent management software Conduct exit interviews, identify resignation trends, and advise leadership on reducing turnover Guide managers through employee relations issues with the help of consultants and attorneys Coach and advise employees on problem resolution; help them identify solutions and encourage them to constructively resolve conflicts Build relationships across all levels of the organization Total Rewards and Compliance Collaborate with Accounting & Finance to plan and oversee employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, life, disability, time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee referral Analyze and make recommendations for benefit renewals; host open enrollment sessions Draft and maintain company and restaurant policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and clear communication to all employees Maintain confidential employee records, including payroll and benefits information Oversee HR-related software and systems (HRIS) Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Experience: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of related HR experience Proven ability to influence senior leaders and build commitment to business objectives End-to-end experience in recruitment, onboarding, and talent management Strong working knowledge of HR functions including total rewards, compliance, and talent management Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS platforms; strong Excel skills preferred Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong problem-solving ability with high attention to detail and a sense of urgency Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who drives initiatives through to completion We offer competitive salary and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD & LTD insurance, Paid Parental Leave, and 401(k) plan with company match.
