Senior Geostructural Engineer Senior Geostructural Engineer to add technical expertise to our Mid‑Atlantic team and support growing geostructural work across the company. Candidates will have extensive geostructural engineering design experience with a solid foundation in soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering, and structural engineering concepts, and an interest in excavation support design and earth‑retaining systems. The role includes contractor support and developer work as well as managing and mentoring junior staff.
Our geostructural practice provides engineering services for a wide range of projects including building foundations, dams, levees, bridges, tunnels, ground treatment, and excavation support systems. Essential Responsibilities & Duties Deliver technical excellence, exceed client expectations, and execute profitably Provide technical leadership and senior oversight, including as Engineer of Record Recruit, integrate, and train staff Coach, mentor, and supervise team members Develop networking partnerships with practitioners across the company Lead technical teams working across multiple offices, problem‑solve, prepare plans and specifications, and meet with clients and subcontractors Assist in business development activities within the practice, including developing capture strategies and preparing proposals Travel locally, regionally, and nationally as required Minimum Qualifications M.S. in Structural/Geotechnical/Geostructural Engineering 12+ years of professional experience in engineering consulting P.E. certification Strong work ethic and attention to detail, balanced with proven communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with detailed design and specification preparation Adaptable to changing workload and fast‑paced work environment Valid U.S. driver’s license Benefits Market‑competitive compensation with eligibility for an annual performance bonus Pay range: $120,000 – $175,000 per year Comprehensive benefits program (medical, dental, vision, life, disability) Well‑being program and paid parental leave Commuter benefits Hybrid work schedules and cell phone stipend Continuing education assistance (GEIU) and tuition reimbursement Professional development and advancement opportunities Publication awards, professional dues, and license support Paid holidays and generous paid time off Rewards and recognition programs GEI‑funded profit sharing and 401(k) Opportunity to become an owner and shareholder GEI is an AA/Equal opportunity employer, including disabled and veterans. #J-18808-Ljbffr
