Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial modelling, analysis, and reporting that underpins commercial decision‑making across the Group. This is a hands‑on, model‑focused role ideally suited to someone with exceptional Excel skills who thrives in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.

You will work closely with the Head of FP&A and wider finance team, with exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to develop your commercial acumen in a PE‑backed business. What do we need you to do? Build, maintain, and enhance complex financial models in Excel, including integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting models.

Develop and maintain scenario and sensitivity analysis tools to support business planning and decision‑making. Automate and streamline recurring financial models and reports using advanced Excel functionality including AI, VBA macros and dynamic formulas. Conduct deep‑drive analysis into business and financial performance, identifying and clearly communicating key variances and drivers.

Support the build of M&A financial models, including acquisition business cases and integration financial analysis, as required. Forecasting & Budgeting Support the monthly rolling and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of submissions. Assist with the annual budgeting process, including consolidation of inputs and preparation of supporting schedules and analysis.

Maintain and update the Groups forecasting model, incorporating actuals and revised assumptions on a regular basis. Perform variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, preparing clear commentary for review. Reporting & Presentation Prepare high‑quality financial analysis and supporting schedules for the monthly board report and PE investor packs.

Produce clear, well‑structured outputs that translate complex financial data into actionable insight for non‑finance stakeholders. Support preparation of materials for senior management review, ensuring accuracy and consistency of all financial data presented. Business Partnering & Ad Hoc Work alongside the Head of FP&A to provide analytical support to functional heads across the business.

Respond to ad hoc financial analysis requests, delivering robust and timely outputs. Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and templates. What skills & experience do we need you to have?

Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) or part‑qualified with demonstrable relevant experience. Exceptional Excel skills, including advanced formula work (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, array formulas, dynamic arrays), pivot tables, and the ability to build complex multi‑tab financial models from scratch. Strong financial modelling experience, with an ability to construct clear, well‑structured, and auditable models.

Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and how they interconnect within a model. Logical, methodical approach to problem‑solving with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and numerical ability with experience of variance analysis and KPI reporting.

Clear and confident communicator, able to present financial analysis in a concise and accessible way. Proactive self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. VBA / macro development skills for model automation and workflow efficiency.

Experience with Power Query, Power BI, or other data visualisation tools. Exposure to a PE‑backed or high‑growth business environment. Familiarity with M&A financial modelling or transaction support work.
