Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canadaâs only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state. Trans Mountain also operates a stateâofâtheâart loading facility, Westridge Marine Terminal, with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets.

Location : Calgary Head Office Department : Finance Reports to : Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis Worker Type : Employee Schedule Type : Fullâtime Work Setting : Inâoffice Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and valuesâdriven individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Financial Analyst. In this position, you will play a key role in analyzing complex financial data, preparing financial forecasts, evaluating performance, and providing strategic recommendations to department leadership.
You will also guide the budgeting processes, perform variance analysis, and mentor junior analysts. Key Responsibilities Prepare expense forecasts for monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles. Compare actual results to forecasts, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
Partner with leadership to develop, monitor, and support departmental budgets. Analyze historical data, KPIs, and financial statements to assess performance. Collaborate with accounting, operations, and leadership teams to support financial outcomes and prepare reports for senior management and executive leadership reviews.
Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve financial processes. Build financial models and cost projections to support decisionâmaking and capital planning. Qualifications and Professional Experience Postâsecondary education in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline.
CFA or CPA designation required. A minimum of 6 years of financial analysis experience. Strong analytical skills with solid quantitative and problemâsolving abilities.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software, including IBM Planning Analytics. Skilled in developing complex financial models to support forecasting. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend strategic actions.
A track record of delivering highâquality work, managing competing priorities, and supporting key business processes or operational functions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels across the organization. Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly, respectfully, and professionally.
Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fastâpaced environment.
