The Facilities Operations team at Analog Devices is seeking an experienced engineer to support facilities equipment installation, troubleshooting, and project construction for site locations in Wilmington and Chelmsford, MA. This role is based in Wilmington, MA and reports to the Director of Facilities Operations. The engineer will serve as a liaison with third‑party engineers on construction projects and address day‑to‑day mechanical and electrical infrastructure issues, define process and system standards, and lead ADI’s environmental and sustainability goals from a facilities perspective.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design and Development: Lead the design and development of mechanical and/or electrical systems and components for various facilities‑related projects. Project Management: Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed within specifications, on time, and within budget. Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and maintenance technicians by providing technical guidance and support.

Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, reports, and design schematics. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects comply with relevant safety, regulatory, and ADI Global Engineering standards. Conduct feasibility studies, root cause analysis, and technical assessments.

Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary engineers and teams to integrate mechanical and electrical systems into larger projects. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex technical issues, conducting diagnostics and performance evaluations of mechanical systems. Serve as subject‑matter expert during root cause analysis activities related to mechanical and electrical systems and delivery.

Interact with manufacturing engineers and leaders supporting factory growth and optimization. Ensure safe practices are leveraged by contractors and technicians when performing maintenance and repairs. Drive sustainable methods for operation to conserve utility resources aligning to ADI’s Global Engineering initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications BS or MS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Five (5) or more years of experience in a facilities or construction mechanical or electrical engineering role. Mechanical Systems: HVAC Systems: Chillers/towers > 900 tons, steam boilers, process cooling, process vacuum, make‑up air systems > 50 k CFM, return air systems/filtration, humidification systems.

Motor and pump service, alignment, lubrication, bearing & seal replacements. Electrical Systems: Voltages from control to 480 VAC, lighting, variable frequency drives, IR scanning and power quality analysis. Proficiency using volt‑ohm, amperage, loop, & process calibrators and source‑output meters.

Control Systems: Building Management Systems, installations, programming, troubleshooting, repair/service including PLC programming, service and troubleshooting. Life‑safety fire alarm systems: Wet and dry, NFPA inspections / requirements. Perform MEP capacity and energy calculations.

Class 1 production area environment. Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language. Proficient with Microsoft Excel (formulas & charts) and strong skills with MS Office products.

Able to read schematics (mechanical/electrical) and P&IDs. Proficient with AutoCAD version MEP2023. Self‑motivated, safety‑oriented, with good people skills, able to multitask and work in a fast‑paced, fluid environment.

Thorough and driven to continuously improve systems and processes. Strong presentation and technical documentation skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work and lead a team to aggressive schedules.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 5‑10 or more years of experience with semiconductor facilities such as: Toxic gas systems: ACM, TGM, DOD PS‑7 sensors, system integrations, PLC programming and sensor semi‑annual gas challenge. Proficiency using volt‑ohm, amperage, loop, & process calibrators and source‑output meters. Siemens “Insight/Apogee/Desigo” building operations & programming.

Ultra‑pure water manufacturing: RO/DI. Rockwell Automation Control Logix. Export Licensing Notice For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices may need to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.

Actual wage offered may vary based on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
