Position Description Reporting to the Director of Communications and Donor Engagement, the Senior Manager, Donor Experience will provide leadership in the development and execution of a comprehensive fund development program for Indwell that includes the annual campaign, capital campaigns for new projects, major gift solicitation, foundation relations, and planned giving. This position will also focus on major donor gift cultivation in the greater Hamilton area and support regions that do not have a Community Donor Engagement staff representative. Hours and Location of Work Full time. Primarily weekdays, with flexibility required. Occasional work in the evenings and weekends may be required.

Primary location of work is the Hamilton Resource Centre. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fund development program for Indwell that includes the Annual Campaign, Capital Campaigns for new projects, Major Gift Solicitation, Foundation Relations and Planned Giving. Work with program and CDE staff to encourage operational fundraising for Indwell’s annual campaign across regions.

Take the lead on developing the case for support and supporting promotional and gift solicitation materials for capital campaigns in the GHA, Woodstock, Norfolk, and new regions. This includes supporting the fundraising efforts of the HOME Capital Campaign Group in Sarnia and coordinating fundraising with the Sarnia Community Foundation. Assist CDE staff in London, St.

Thomas, Waterloo Region, and Mississauga, as needed, in developing the case for support and supporting promotional and gift solicitation materials for capital campaigns. Be the point of contact for a portfolio of major donors (giving over $10,000/year) in the GHA. Encourage giving from individuals, corporations, service clubs, churches and other community groups.

Identify, qualify and cultivate new major donor prospects in the GHA, and review the existing pipeline for opportunities to upgrade donors. Ensure that Indwell donations are acknowledged and that the CDE team provides excellent gift stewardship to strengthen relationships with donors. Ensure that CDE staff submit data, including donor touchpoints and conversations, grant applications, and reports in the CRM.

Lead fundraising for emerging Indwell programs in new areas. Promote planned giving by coordinating with Christian Stewardship Services on administering gifts of securities and other planned giving options and will and estate planning consultation. Supervisory Responsibilities Lead healthy team dynamics, and the development of a positive, professional team culture.

Offer clear guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to employees to promote growth and professional advancement. Collaborate with People & Culture to advance leadership development, team building, and training implementation. Cultivate a culture of respect, inclusion, and shared purpose, ensuring staff feel valued and connected to organizational objectives.

Qualifications A committed leader with a deep sense of calling and alignment with Indwell’s statement of faith, mission, vision, and values. Understanding of the needs and issues of the GHA.

Knowledge of fundraising concepts, methodologies and tools. Proven success in fundraising, particularly in the areas of capital and major gifts fund development. Motivational, networking and communication skills.

Innate ability and priority to maintain good interpersonal relationships. Eager to promote opportunities and partnerships along with excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Proven ability to relate to and engage diverse groups of people.

Flexibility to work independently and with committees or groups. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and familiarity with online collaborative tools. Valid Ontario Driver’s License; use of a vehicle is required.

Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Seven or more years of relevant experience in a charity setting in progressively responsible positions. Leadership and supervisory experience.

Major Gift and Capital Campaign experience. Familiarity with a CRM (charity application). CFRE certified or eligible for CFRE designation.
