Senior Developer OEP

What Youll Be Doing (position summary): The Sr. Developer OEP is responsible for the technical design, development, and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems, as well as providing enhancements to existing technologies. This role converts business requirements into programming instructions, working primarily on back-end Java/Spring Framework and Event Mesh-based applications that support the enterprise customer information system.

The incumbent collaborates with subject matter experts, technical leads, developers, solution designers, business system analysts, and infrastructure specialists to gather requirements, evaluate tools and techniques, and identify patterns and best practices to advance technology solutions. How Youll Succeed (responsibilities): Design and Development: Perform and coordinate application programming activities, developing specifications, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and adjusting to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of various application components. Review, analyze, design, code, test, and debug primarily back-end Java/Spring Framework and Event Mesh-based applications. Maintain records to document application development and provide support for existing production applications.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Manage tasks for multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, demonstrating effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation. Process information with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Application Development Tools / Process: Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications.

Apply formal methodologies and disciplines for delivering new or enhanced applications. Interpersonal Relationships: Work collaboratively with individuals, teams, and groups using effective approaches, tools, and techniques. Engage with technology partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of solutions.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Collaborates with subject matter experts, technical leads, developers, solution designers, business system analysts, and infrastructure specialists to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions. Interacts with other internal teams to coordinate project activities and resolve issues related to application development and support. May work with external vendors and service providers as required for technology integration and support.

Supports multiple concurrent projects and initiatives within Shared Platform Technologies. Provides advisory and support services to peers and project teams to contribute to the achievement of business outcomes. Experience: 7+ years of experience.

Who You Are (skills/qualifications): Must Have Skills: 7+ years of experience in Java application development and support. Technical proficiency in C++, Java/J2EE, SQL, SOAP-XML/REST-JSON, Microservices, YAML, XSD, UML, Spring, Spring Boot, Event Driven Development, Solace/PubSub+, gRPC, Event Mesh platform, Linux/REHL, Docker, OpenShift, Unix Shell Scripts, File-based processing apps, GitHub bash, SVN, Maven/Ant, Junit, JIRA-Confluence, Scrum, Blackduck, Fortify, Sonar. Experience with Agile, Iterative, and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to technology partners. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
