Location : Broadway, New York, NY (Hybrid) Duration: Contract Pay range: $70-$75 Position Summary The Technical Business Analyst (BA) / Scrum / TPM hybrid role within the Internal Audit Technology team is a senior-level position based in New York, focused on driving data-centric initiatives across audit and compliance domains. It blends deep business analysis with agile delivery and light project management, requiring the candidate to lead end-to-end solutioning while ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology execution. The role involves close collaboration with Internal Audit stakeholders, data teams, and engineering groups to gather and translate complex, data-driven requirements into functional specifications.
A strong foundation in financial services—particularly Internal Audit, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) , or regulatory reporting—is essential, along with the ability to understand data architecture and analytics platforms. The candidate is expected to be technically savvy, strategically minded, and capable of influencing decisions while managing senior stakeholder relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities center around owning the data architecture book of work, supporting analytics and reporting initiatives, and driving delivery within an Agile framework.
The role requires a proactive, product-oriented mindset—someone who can step back to view problems holistically, challenge assumptions, and push timelines forward. It combines approximately 70% business analysis, 20% Scrum responsibilities, and 10% technical project management in a fast-paced, highly visible environment. Key Responsibilities D2D: Looking to bring on a BA to manage the data architecture book of work.
Need a BA who will work with business stakeholders, work with tech and data teams to analyze data driven requirements in order to translate them into functions specs that can be worked on by the development teams Role oversees both data platforms, analytics, reporting and anything that is in the data scope. Will help bridge the gap between the business and technology teams Must have skills: 12+ years of Business Analyst experience Proven Experience delivery technology solutions end to end Very strategic or this group. Needs STRONG BA (cannot just take yes for an answer all the time - has to be comfortable pushing back and driving) Financial Services is an absolute MUST Significant Domain Exp: Internal Audit (MOST IMPORTANT) AND/OR Governance, Risk and Compliance AND/OR Reporting Has to have worked in the above before.
