Senior Business Analyst

HYBRID 4 DAYS/WEEK IN WASHINGTON D.C. Job Description Senior Business Analyst Seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support an Azure‑based delivery team in a .NET application environment. This role is highly client‑facing, partnering with stakeholders through weekly check‑ins and ongoing engagement.

The ideal candidate is proactive, polished in communication, and strong at translating business needs into clear, actionable user stories and work items. Responsibilities Serve as the primary BA contact for stakeholders, running weekly touchpoints, gathering requirements, and providing status updates. Manage day‑to‑day work intake and delivery tracking in Azure DevOps (ADO), including creating and managing tickets/work items, writing/refining user stories and acceptance criteria, logging, tracking, and coordinating resolution of bugs/defects, supporting backlog grooming and sprint readiness, and translating business requirements into clear deliverables for engineering/QA teams.

Partner closely with a .NET delivery team to ensure alignment, remove blockers, and drive work to completion. Maintain strong documentation, meeting notes, and action‑item follow‑up. Participate in knowledge transfer with the current BA to ensure a smooth transition.

Required Qualifications Senior‑level Business Analyst experience supporting software delivery teams. Strong hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps (stories, defects, ticket workflows, backlog management). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working directly with clients.

Finance / banking domain experience. Proven track record of being proactive, organized, and collaborative. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting teams working in a .NET stack (no coding required).

Experience in structured/governance‑heavy client environments. Strong requirements documentation and user story writing skills. Work Schedule / Location Hybrid, up to 4 days/week – Washington, D.C.
