Senior Bridge Design Engineer (Ottawa)

Senior Bridge Engineer Location: Ottawa, Ontario Salary: $120,000-$160,000 (based on experience) Reference #: 16816827 About The Opportunity We have partnered with an established Engineering Consulting Firm who is looking to add a Senior Bridge Engineer to their growing team. This full-time, hybrid role is ideal for someone who has extensive experience in a leadership capacity, thrives working on complex projects and has enjoys working with stakeholders. Responsibilities Prepare engineering computations, tender packages, cost estimates and quantity take-offs and technical proposals.

Manage the preparation of engineering drawings and documentation for bridge, culverts and retaining walls. Spearhead the structural design of new bridges, culverts and retaining walls. Provide leadership to junior and intermediate engineers as well as other team members.

Work in conjunction with municipalities, provincial approval authorities (MTO) and other agencies. Requirements Registered as a P.Eng. in Ontario. Robust knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA-S6) and MTO Structural manual.

Eligible for MTO RAQS registration. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the design of bridges and other transportation structures. Proficient in structural analysis software, AutoCAD, Excel and MS Project.

Strong problem solving and decision making skills. Previous experience leading design teams. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
