Job Description Job Description Senior Backend Engineer Role The Opportunity As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll design and build scalable backend systems for an AI-driven data platform. You’ll lead technical projects, handle large-scale data processing, and help shape system architecture and performance. What You’ll Do Design and build backend systems and APIs Own projects from planning to deployment Collaborate across engineering, data, and product teams Support AI/ML model deployment and infrastructure Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance Implement security best practices Mentor engineers and uphold code quality standards Who You Are 5+ years of backend engineering experience Strong Python skills and experience with large-scale systems Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure Experience with distributed systems and data pipelines Focus on performance, scalability, and clean code Interest in AI/ML is a plus Bonus Experience with LLMs, Docker/Kubernetes, or data visualization Startup or full-stack experience Additional Info Fully remote (U.S. only) Competitive salary, equity, and benefits
