Senior Backend Developer (Plano)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading telecommunications company, is seeking an experienced Sr. Backend Developer to support a recently launched, business-critical pricing engine. We are looking for a backend engineer with strong experience in Python, API development, and microservices architecture.

Key Focus: Backend development with Python Microservices design and development API creation, integration, and maintenance Supporting a live pricing engine (recently transitioned from greenfield to production) What You’ll Do: Build and maintain scalable microservices and backend APIs Enhance and support an existing production pricing platform Integrate with internal systems and services across a distributed architecture Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver key improvements What We’re Looking For: 5+ years of backend or full-stack experience with a strong backend focus Proven expertise in Python and API development/consumption Hands-on experience building or working within microservices architectures Experience supporting production systems and shipping high-quality code Ability to quickly understand complex systems with minimal training Exposure to Databricks or PySpark is a plus (not the primary focus) Machine learning familiarity is a bonus, not required
