The person in this role will install and commission audio-visual and control systems in residential and hospitality environments. Daily responsibilities include site surveys, cable management, equipment installation, system testing, and final sign-off. The Senior AV Engineer will install, diagnose and resolve technical issues, provide ongoing support, and ensure systems perform reliably to client expectations.
The role also involves collaborating with project managers and subcontractors and mentoring junior team members. The successful candidate will uphold high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism while representing Knektd on client sites. Qualifications Strong experience with Audio Visual (AV) Systems and AV Integration, including configuration, installation, and commissioning of complex AV and control solutions.
Advanced Troubleshooting skills for AV, networked, and control systems, including fault finding, diagnostics, and timely resolution of on-site issues. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics, with solid understanding of cabling standards, IP networking fundamentals, and control system principles. Proven experience in high-end residential and/or commercial AV projects, ideally within a boutique or custom-install environment.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders on-site. Ability to lead on-site work, mentor junior engineers, and manage time and priorities across multiple projects. Full, valid driving license and willingness to travel within Greater London and occasionally beyond as project needs require.
Relevant technical certifications are highly beneficial. Candidate must be based in the Greater London area
