Senior Analyst in Pension Operations

Join Emera as a Senior Analyst for Pension Operations in Halifax, NS. This hybrid role involves overseeing pension plan operations, financial statements, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. As a key player in Emera's Pension Investments team, you'll report to the Director of Pension Investments and work closely with internal groups and external vendors.

Your responsibilities include managing daily operations with the pension custodian, preparing financial statements, fulfilling internal controls, and coordinating GST/HST reporting. You'll also engage in operational evaluation and due diligence for investment managers. Key Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day operations with the pension plan custodian • Prepare corporate and pension plan financial statements • Ensure compliance with SOX internal controls • Oversee GST/HST reporting with tax consultants • Collaborate with auditors for financial statement support Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field • Progress towards CPA or CFA designation recommended • Familiarity with pension plan management accounting • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel Leverage your skills in finance and accounting to support Emera’s pension operations and ensure effective governance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
