Senior AI Security & Governance Engineer Experience: 5–8 Years Duration: 6-12 Months Contract Location: Remote (Initial 1-week onboarding from Trivandrum/Kochi office mandatory) Employment Type: contract Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Security & Governance Engineer to design and implement runtime security and governance controls for enterprise AI systems. This role focuses on embedding responsible AI mechanisms directly into production environments through scalable, code-driven solutions rather than policy documentation alone. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AI security, governance automation, runtime risk mitigation, and enterprise compliance practices.

You will play a key role in safeguarding AI applications against risks such as hallucinations, prompt injection, misuse, and sensitive data leakage while enabling secure AI innovation at scale. Key Responsibilities Design and implement AI runtime security controls including: Prompt filtering Output validation Misuse prevention mechanisms Runtime guardrails Develop automated governance and compliance controls for AI systems Build auditability, monitoring, logging, and traceability frameworks for AI workflows Create reusable safety and governance patterns across enterprise AI agents and applications Identify and mitigate AI-related risks including: Hallucinations Prompt injection attacks Data leakage scenarios Unsafe model behaviors Implement scalable runtime control systems to improve: Security Explainability Compliance Reliability Collaborate with engineering, governance, compliance, and security teams to ensure responsible AI deployment Proactively identify vulnerabilities, misuse scenarios, and edge cases in AI systems Required Skills & Experience 5–8 years of relevant experience in security engineering, governance engineering, or AI security Strong hands-on experience with Python and scripting Experience working with: Security or governance-related systems Policy-as-code frameworks Rule engines Runtime enforcement mechanisms Strong understanding of: AI hallucinations Prompt injection vulnerabilities Data leakage risks Enterprise AI governance principles Compliance and security best practices Ability to design and implement scalable runtime controls for AI applications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a security-first mindset Preferred Skills Experience with: Saviynt ServiceNow IAM (Identity & Access Management) systems Approval workflow systems Exposure to: Responsible AI frameworks Model risk governance frameworks Enterprise security and compliance environments Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field What We’re Looking For A technically strong engineer passionate about AI security and governance Someone who can balance innovation with enterprise risk management Strong ownership mindset toward runtime safety and compliance Ability to proactively identify vulnerabilities, misuse cases, and operational risks in AI systems
