Senior Accounting Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts Payable & Receivable - Manage **full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP)** and **Accounts Receivable (AR)** processes - Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner - Monitor and follow up on **outstanding receivables** and ensure timely collections - Maintain vendor and customer account records - Reconcile AP/AR statements and resolve any discrepancies Invoice Management - **Enter, review, and process invoices** with high accuracy - Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts - Ensure all invoices are **coded correctly** and approved per company policy - Manage invoice filing and documentation systems Reconciliation - Perform **monthly bank reconciliations** - Reconcile **general ledger accounts** on a regular basis - Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner - Assist with **month-end and year-end closing** processes Reporting & Analysis - Prepare and deliver **bi-weekly financial reports** to management - Generate **monthly financial reports** including P&L summaries - Provide **variance analysis** and financial insights to support business decisions - Track and report on **key financial metrics** Budget Management - Assist in the **preparation and management of annual budgets** - Monitor budget vs. actual performance and report variances - Work closely with management to **forecast financial needs** - Support **cost control initiatives** across departments REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience - Minimum **5 years of experience** in Accounting or Bookkeeping - Bachelor's degree in **Accounting, Finance, or related field** *(preferred)* - Proven experience in **full-cycle accounting** Technical Skills - **Proficiency in QuickBooks Online** *(Required)* - Strong knowledge of **Microsoft Excel** and financial reporting tools - Experience with **Apparel Magic** software *(Strong Plus)* - Familiarity with **ERP systems** is an asset Industry Knowledge - Experience in the **Apparel or Fashion Industry** *(Strong Plus)* - Understanding of **apparel-specific financial processes** such as: - Inventory costing - Purchase order management - Seasonal budgeting Core Competencies - Exceptional **attention to detail** and accuracy - Strong **organizational and time management** skills - Excellent **written and verbal communication** skills - Ability to **meet deadlines** in a fast-paced environment - Strong **analytical and problem-solving** abilities - Team player with the ability to work **independently**
