About The Team As a Sales Manager, Commercial (Grower), you will play a critical role in driving Stripeâs growth by leading the strategy, execution, and optimization of our go-to-market efforts with existing Mid Market customers. In this role, you will focus on deepening relationships, expanding product adoption, and maximizing customer value across Stripeâs growing Mid Market base.
You will lead a team of highâperforming Account Executives, supporting their development while also engaging directly with strategic accounts. We are looking for a proactive and customerâobsessed leader who thrives in a highâgrowth, ambiguous environment. Youâve successfully managed and scaled highâperforming teams and know how to drive impact by balancing strategy, execution, and handsâon leadership.
Responsibilities Lead, coach, and grow a team of Account Executives focused on driving revenue growth from Stripeâs existing Mid Market customers. Own performance against key growth and retention metrics, including expansion, crossâsell, and renewal targets. Partner with senior leadership to refine the longâterm strategy for Stripeâs existing business sales motion.
Support Account Executives in developing consultative, solutionâoriented approaches to expand customer adoption of Stripeâs products and services. Foster a highâperformance, inclusive team culture that emphasizes learning, ownership, and measurable impact. Collaborate crossâfunctionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and other teams to improve customer experience and retention.
Personally engage with key accounts, including executiveâlevel stakeholders, to build lasting partnerships and drive longâterm value. Advocate for the needs and feedback of existing customers to inform Stripeâs product roadmap and strategy. Who You Are Weâre looking for someone who meets the minimum qualifications listed below.

Minimum Requirements 5+ years of relevant sales experience. 2+ years of experience leading a team of quotaâcarrying sales professionals. Proven track record of driving revenue growth through expansion and retention within an existing customer base.
Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and manage highâperforming sales teams. Strong executive presence and ability to build and maintain relationships with senior customer stakeholders. Comfort working with technical products and the ability to translate complex concepts into business outcomes.
This role requires working from the Chicago office three (3) days per week. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a growthâstage internet or software company. Track record of managing complex sales cycles and driving multiâproduct adoption.
Experience managing teams in offices outside of company headquarters. Familiarity with payments or fintech industry and related customer needs. Inâoffice expectations Officeâassigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users.
This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater inâoffice attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss.
This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for inâperson collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible. Pay and benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $299,800 - $449,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the roleâs On Target Earnings (âOTEâ) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidateâs experience, qualifications, and location.
