Job Description
Years of Experience (YOE): 15โ20 years Roles & Responsibilities 1. Strategic & Financial Leadership Develop and execute the national sales strategy aligned with organisational goals. Drive revenue growth, ensuring achievement of topline and profitability targets across business segments.
Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments. Partner with the Strategy and Marketing teams to conceptualise new products, service offerings, and go-to-market initiatives. Ensure sustainable, profitable growth by balancing volume expansion with margin optimisation.
Monitor business performance through periodic reviews, forecasting, and course correction. 2. Sales Operations & Process Excellence Design and implement standardised Sales SOPs in collaboration with the Process Excellence team. Drive efficiency and productivity through performance monitoring, data-driven decisions, and process automation.
Experience in Sales CRM / Sales Automation systems is desirable. Support sales teams in lead conversion, pricing, and negotiations for key accounts. Collaborate with Credit Management to maintain healthy receivables and minimise exposure to bad debts.
Oversee preparation and timely dissemination of MIS reports and analytics for informed decision-making. 3. Market Development & Customer Focus Lead market expansion through identification of high-potential geographies, customer segments, and industry verticals. Collaborate with Marketing for brand visibility, customer engagement, and networking initiatives.
Ensure exceptional post-sales experience through feedback systems, satisfaction surveys, and structured interventions. Partner with IT and Operations to enhance digital customer touchpoints and integrated service delivery. Establish as a preferred logistics partner through deep customer relationships and solution-oriented selling. 4.
People & Performance Management Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team with a strong culture of accountability and collaboration. Implement individual development and succession plans in partnership with HR. Drive capability-building programmes in consultative selling, negotiation, communication, and leadership.
Monitor performance metrics and implement structured interventions for underperformance management. 5. Strategic Collaboration & Shared Goals Partner with cross-functional teams including Strategy, Operations, Admin, and IT to support business expansion and branch network optimisation. Contribute to new business initiatives, product diversification, and geography-based penetration strategies.
Ensure compliance with audit and statutory norms across sales processes. 6. Social Responsibility & Organisational Citizenship Champion CSR pillars focusing on logistics welfare, driver engagement, customer safety, and campus partnerships. Foster a culture that reflects values of integrity, inclusiveness, and continuous learning.
