Position Title Sales Director – Americas Location United States (preferred) Reporting To VP, Global Head of Sales & Marketing Role Overview The Sales Director – Americas leads all commercial activities across North and South America. This role is accountable for delivering profitable growth across core segments (glass, industrial, chemicals). The position blends strategic leadership with front‑line execution—owning key customer relationships, driving pricing discipline, and leading a regional sales organization in a supply‑constrained, globally traded commodity environment.
Key Responsibilities Own regional sales delivery (revenue, volume, margin) Develop and execute a differentiated commercial strategy balancing contract exposure Drive portfolio mix improvement Lead commercial strategy across core segments and SME and distribution Navigate global supply/demand dynamics, logistics constraints, and export competitiveness Optimize allocation decisions in tight markets to maximize value Own relationships with strategic regional and multinational customers Lead complex contract negotiations Manage and optimize distributor networks where applicable Establish and enforce pricing governance aligned with global benchmarks and regional dynamics Drive disciplined execution of price increases, surcharges, and contract resets Partner closely with finance to monitor contribution margins and profitability Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing Americas sales team Build strong commercial capabilities in negotiation, value selling, and market intelligence Set clear KPIs and drive accountability across the region Partner with supply chain and operations on demand planning, allocation, and service reliability Align with product management on portfolio strategy and innovation priorities Support logistics optimization across domestic and export flows Lead robust demand forecasting and sales & operations planning inputs Provide actionable insights on competitor behavior, pricing trends, and end‑market demand Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred 10+ years of commercial experience in industrial minerals, chemicals, or adjacent commodity markets Demonstrated success managing large, contract‑heavy B2B accounts in cyclical or supply‑constrained environments Strong experience across the Americas, including export markets and trade flows Benefits Highlights Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience Medical, Dental, Life & Disability Insurance, Vision, Flexible Spending, and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan with matching contributions Tuition reimbursement programs for qualifying employees Paid time off based on years of service Company‑paid transportation for Wyoming‑based employees Flexible work schedule (varies by location and position) Relocation assistance may be available based on position WE Soda is an equal opportunity employer.
