Job description Company Description The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group, founded in 2008, is a Chicago-based organization responsible for creating diverse restaurant and bar concepts. Utopian Tailgate & Professor Pizza are two of our concepts located in Old Town at North & Wells at the foot of the historic Second City Theaters, which is also managed by the group. Utopian Tailgate is a high volume concept that is extremely busy throughout the summer featuring at 10,000 SF rooftop, while Professor Pizza is known for its family friendly atmosphere and bustling pre-theater crowds. https://professorpizza.com/ https://www.utopiantailgate.com/ Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Restaurant and Bar Manager, five nights per week, with a typical shift lasting 10 hours. The Restaurant and Bar Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional food and beverage service while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing staff, training employees, coordinating schedules, and meeting sales goals. The role also involves handling customer inquiries, implementing effective communication strategies, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Essential Job Responsibilies: Exceptional Customer Service and Communication skills to build strong relationships with guests and team members Experience and knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including inventory management and quality control Training and team development skills to lead and motivate staff effectively Proven abilities in Sales and increasing revenue through innovative strategies Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Proven management or leadership experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings Ability to respond quickly to emails and work with technology to operate the company's standard operating procedures. A positive and motivating personality with a willingness to learn.
