Resident Engineer

Resident Engineer (Static Site) Location: Birmingham Working Pattern Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (including breaks) No shifts No call-out rota The Role WPS are seeking a Resident Engineer to be permanently based at a prestigious static site in central Birmingham . This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias looking for a stable, weekday‑only role with no on‑call requirements. You will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring the site remains compliant, safe, and operating efficiently at all times.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical building services Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards Monitor plant performance and report faults or risks Complete accurate maintenance records and documentation Liaise with the client and subcontractors as required About You Recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Multi‑skilled with a bias in either mechanical or electrical Previous experience in a static or commercial maintenance environment Solid understanding of building services systems Reliable, customer‑focused, and able to work independently Please note that you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage.
