Description The Minnesota State Fair, also known as "The Great Minnesota Get Together" is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region with nearly 2 million guests attending each year. The safety of our guests, employees and vendors is the top priority for the fair and as we continue to grow, so must our public safety team! Employment Type Special Events and Fair-Time Employment (August 27 - September 7, 2026).
Reserves hired for the 2026 fair will have opportunities to work events year round. Extended hours during peak times, including some weekends and evenings are required. Morning, afternoon, evening and overnight shifts available.
Essential Functions Assist licensed police officers with crowd and traffic management. Assist licensed police officers with first response to medical incidents. Provide excellent customer service fair guests and answer event related questions.
Job Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods of time at assigned posts. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED.
Driver's license required. Position requires standing for long periods of time both indoors and outdoors and is subject to inclement weather conditions.
