Research Analyst – Private Markets (Operators)

Role: Research Analyst – Private Markets (Operators) Location: Remote Company: Operatif What this role is about Operatif is building the “data layer” for operators. We take unstructured operator profiles and convert them into structured, comparable, and credible data for investors and companies. Similar to how private markets data platforms work for companies, this role applies that same lens to people. You will identify high-quality operators, engage them, and translate their track record into decision-grade insights. What you will do Identify and map senior operators across sectors, functions, and geographies Conduct targeted outreach and onboard operators onto the platform Analyze operator track records across revenue growth, EBITDA impact, and value creation Break down claims into what changed, by how much, and over what timeframe Standardize and structure unstructured data into consistent formats Identify gaps in attribution, timelines, and credibility Engage directly with operators to validate and refine their profiles Build clear, comparable “tear sheets” for investor consumption Contribute to improving how operator data is captured, structured, and presented What we’re looking for 1–4 years experience in Research, Consulting, Private Equity / Venture Capital, or Financial Data Platforms Experience working with structured datasets, research products, or company analysis Strong ability to think in terms of value creation, not just activity Comfort working with ambiguity and incomplete information Ability to engage senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence Strong attention to detail and structured thinking What makes someone successful here You instinctively ask: What exactly changed?
