Reliability Engineer

Now Hiring: Reliability Engineer | Houston, TX Ready to drive plant reliability, mechanical integrity, and real‑world improvements in a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment? Arkema is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support plant reliability and mechanical integrity at our Houston site. This role partners closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors to improve equipment performance, safety, and uptime.

What You’ll Do Serve as the site mechanical technical resource for reliability and equipment repair strategies Drive improvements in plant reliability & maintenance systems Support rotating and fixed equipment programs Troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and track reliability KPIs Develop repair scopes, equipment specifications, and maintenance strategies Lead and execute CAPEX/OPEX reliability projects using Arkema’s AGATE project process Support plant turnarounds and outages (scope development through execution) Ensure compliance with HESQ policies and industry standards (ASME, API, OSHA, EPA, etc.) Participate in MOC, incident investigations, and mechanical integrity programs Collaborate with plant leadership, engineers, supervisors, operators, inspectors, and craftsmen What You Bring B.S. in Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of chemical or industrial plant experience Hands‑on technical expertise with strong problem‑solving skills Ability to interpret and apply engineering & regulatory standards Strong communication skills and a team‑focused mindset Passion for improving plant uptime and asset utilization Be part of a team that values safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
