Job Description
Description Take full ownership of the Release Management activities, ensuring efficient collaboration and the timely delivery of releases. Provide expert advice on addressing urgent production issues, assisting teams in determining the best approach for releases. Advise development and DevOps teams on environment usage and deployments.
Perform root cause analysis for deployment issues to ensure timely resolution and system stability. Advice teams on best practices on deployment processes and resolving issues. Prepare detailed production runbooks and lead walkthrough meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on deployment procedures.
Manage dress rehearsal deployments and perform postâdeployment reviews to ensure seamless transitions into production. Coordinate outage notifications and engage with users to obtain confirmation for a smooth release initiation. Lead endâtoâend production releases, ensuring flawless execution of release steps as outlined in the deployment runbook.
Oversee Jira quality checks, providing guidance to Scrum Masters, Project Managers and other team members as needed. Coordinate all activities for significant & nonâsignificant releases, ensuring proper preparation and alignment of all teams involved. Facilitate Go/NoâGo decisionâmaking processes for production releases, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Initiate exception approvals as needed and ensure proper documentation for audit support. Recommend and implement automation solutions to streamline and optimize processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual efforts. Manage UAT/Regression environment preparation, including deployments and workflow executions, to ensure readiness for testing.
Coordinate and manage backup requests from Quality Assurance teams as needed. Provision access in lower lanes based on ARM requests. Handle adâhoc deployment requests, ensuring timely and effective deployments.
Create change requests (CRQs) as required by program demands, ensuring proper tracking of the changes. Oversee the entire change management process, from CRQ creation to release container management, and ensure timely followâup on approvals and CRQ closure. Facilitate stakeholder communications, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the release process.

Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. Experience with release planning, scheduling, and coordination across multiple teams.
Handsâon experience with tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar. Knowledge of batch job scheduling and monitoring tools (e.g., Autosys). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven).
Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. Strong problemâsolving and risk management skills to identify and mitigate releaseârelated risks. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with crossâfunctional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to manage change control processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Experience in incident management and troubleshooting during releases. Flexibility to work in highâpressure environments and during offâhours or weekends.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple releases and priorities simultaneously. Familiarity with documentation tools like Confluence for maintaining release notes and plans. Knowledge of automation tools to streamline release processes.
