Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room

Overview Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is currently hiring experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to support our patients. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign-on & relocation bonuses. Work Schedule Full-time, night shift: Three 12-hour shifts per week.

Schedule breakdown: 12-hour shifts (6:30 pm to 7:00 am). 2-week alternating schedule (Week 1: Sun, Mon, Tue; Week 2: Tue, Wed, Thu). Holiday on-call requirement. Scrub and circulating experience preferred.

Responsibilities Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting data and synthesizing their interrelationships. Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends to achieve best practice.

Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end-of-life decisions. Advocates for patients\' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and resolves issues. Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients\' learning needs.

Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse. Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing program. If holding an ADN, BSN must be completed within 5 years of start date.

License: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association. Preferred Experience Scrub and circulating experience strongly preferred.
