The role reports to the Quality Manager, who is responsible for maintaining quality and conformity in a complex manufacturing facility.
The Quality Analyst – Escape Management Lead is the main point of contact for quality issues that result in escapes to our customers, which include Assembly & Test, Spares Customers, Overhaul and OEMs. The analyst will trend SRR and QNLI data and work closely with the Continuous Improvement team and Process Planning to identify opportunities for improvement and to solve problems affecting KPIs related to quality and flow within Halifax Operations. The position is based in Halifax (Enfield) and is full time, 40 hours per week, on site with flexibility.
Responsibilities Lead the full scope of the Escape Management process. Initiate, facilitate and lead containment activities, pre‑escape meetings and official escape meetings with Quality Performance, Engineering, Supply Management, Customer Support and other key stakeholders. Initiate and facilitate all RCCAs related to internal and external escapes.
Lead quality meetings with manufacturing and leadership teams. Work directly with customers to address escapes (Engine Center, Spares, overhaul). Work with and follow up directly with Supply Management Quality Specialists to address quality defects.
Prioritize emerging quality situations in manufacturing and ensure corrective actions are in place. Work closely with the Continuous Improvement Team to trend data and identify opportunities for improvement. Work collaboratively with multidiscipline team to achieve.
Manage KPI data related to quality metrics and analyze trends. Provide weekly/monthly updates related to quality defects and escapes to different stakeholders at contact, team and quality meetings. Takes ownership of and is accountable for multiple other tasks such as dealing with return parts on inspection lots, and requests from other departments.
Provide training as required on quality‑related topics. Qualifications Degree or diploma in an engineering discipline or related field, Red Seal machinist (CNC machinist), or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Three years (minimum) experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to achieve program and/or company objectives. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, processes and best practices. Solid understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Excel & PowerPoint).
Demonstrated soft skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels of leadership and employees as well as external stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting bugs and documenting procedures. Ability to work autonomously; self‑managed with demonstrated attention to detail and follow‑up.
Strong ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential issues. Dependable, reliable and flexible with proven ability to effectively manage priorities and daily workload.
