Job Description
Overview Responsible for the planning, organization, and delivery of strategic IT projects. The senior IT project manager acts as a leader and expert advisor, overseeing the complete project lifecycle, team mobilization, change management, and effective communication with all stakeholders. They ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality standards, while contributing to continuous improvement and process governance.
Responsibilities Definition and Planning: Define the scope, plan, budget, and resources. Draft the project charter, identify stakeholders, and validate strategic alignment. Monitoring and Control: Track progress, adjust schedules, and manage the critical path.
Control the budget, optimize resources, and justify variances. Leadership and Coordination: Allocate roles, resolve conflicts, and lead teams. Make tactical and operational decisions.
Risk and Issue Management: Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues. Communication and Governance: Lead committees, communicate effectively, and produce progress reports. Change and Quality Management: Manage organizational change and ensure the quality of deliverables.
Closure and Handover: Close the project, conduct retrospectives, and ensure transfer to operations. Autonomy and Value Creation: Operate autonomously and create value for the organization. Requirements Education: University degree in computer science, software engineering, project management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 8 years in IT project management, including delivery of application solutions. Proven experience in organizations with a PMO (Project Management Office) and adherence to governance standards. Mastery of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Knowledge of management tools (MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps). Understanding of SaaS application environments, IT architectures, and integration. Mobilizing leadership and ability to influence without hierarchical authority.
