Job Description
Project Manager Project Manager leads, directs and coordinates the daily management of the assigned project(s). This leadership position is accountable for the overall performance of the project including costs, schedule, quality, project status, and adherence to company policies and procedures. More importantly, the Project Manager will manage a successful team and help develop future construction professionals.
This position will be rotational between site & office. Primary Responsibilities Provide safety leadership through implementation of Bird Safety Program and monitoring of safety performance of project team and subcontractors. Plan, schedule, set objectives and control activities during the construction phase in conjunction with the Project Superintendent and Project Team.
Supervise and develop project team members through regular feedback, training and coaching; timely completion of performance evaluations. Administer and manage prime contracts and subcontracts; negotiate and award subcontracts for scopes of work as well as review and evaluate subcontractor performance. Manage project budget and billings and work with accounting to ensure timely payment of A/R and A/P.
Review and analyze costs and identify revenue opportunities. Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on financial and overall performance to Senior Management. Foster and maintain positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects and subcontractors.
What We Are Looking For 10 years experience within industrial construction projects. PMP and GSC certification an asset. 5-10 years’ experience in Project Management and Estimating with a focus on industrial projects. 5 years’ experience in a leadership role on construction sites and/or managing operations. Operational budgeting experience an asset.
Advanced MS Office, Excel skills. Experience managing projects in excess of $100 million. Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups.
Ability to navigate a fast‑paced, complex and changing work environment while managing multiple shifting priorities with collaboration and integrity. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment. Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
