Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will oversee the development and execution of safety‑critical avionics programs, coordinating cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver technical solutions that meet customer requirements, as well as schedule, cost, and quality objectives, while ensuring compliance with aerospace engineering processes and standards. Location: Mississauga, ON Job Type: Full Time Working Arrangement: On‑site Responsibilities Lead the integrated product development team working on safety‑critical avionics systems to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives Establish and maintain detailed technical plans, estimates, and schedules Coordinate with Systems, Software, Hardware, and Mechanical Engineering teams to drive design, development, integration, and verification activities throughout the product lifecycle Facilitate scope/requirement discussions with technical teams and customers Lead the solution definition process from requirements definition through design, development, validation and verification, and introduction to production Ensure that project objectives are communicated to the project team and monitor that all technical project activities are aligned with the project schedule Track and report program progress, costs, risks, and milestones Lead internal and external design reviews and technical coordination meetings Ensure compliance with Aerospace Engineering Processes Coordinate proposal and quotation activities for RFP/RFI submission Responsible for the Engineering Solution Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent Minimum 2 years’ experience in Project Management – managing cost, schedule (MS Project), resources, risk management – PMP Certificate is an asset Working experience of overall engineering disciplines – systems, software, hardware development, certification for the aerospace electronics product Working knowledge/familiarity with standards, DO-178, DO-254 and DO-160 are an asset Take ownership of deliverables and coordinate with required stakeholders to meet deadlines Track timeline to delivery in high fidelity and report progress to program management Experience with managing engineering changes and non-conformances through established processes Experience with executive communication, ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly Excellent leadership and management skills Excellent customer and supplier management skills Individuals who are self‑motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done Compensation $120,000–$140,000 CAD #J-18808-Ljbffr
