Position Summary The Project Budget Analyst is responsible for supporting key strategic accounts through data-driven account analysis, strategic planning, and OEM / ODM project leadership. The role combines strategic account insight generation with cross-functional project execution, serving as a bridge between Sales, Product, R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, and China-based manufacturing partners. This position does not carry a direct sales quota.
Instead, it focuses on enabling informed decision-making, aligning customer needs with internal capabilities, and ensuring OEM initiatives are strategically sound, commercially viable, and operationally executable. The role requires frequent collaboration across time zones, including periodic, non-continuous engagement during China business hours. Key Responsibilities Strategic Account Research & Insights Conduct in-depth research and analysis on target strategic accounts (Key Accounts), including: Company background, financial profile, and market positioning Brand portfolio and broader industry landscape Procurement models, supplier structure, and OEM / ODM history Organizational structure, key stakeholders, and decision-making processes Develop structured Account Profiles and Account Maps highlighting opportunity areas, entry paths, competitive positioning, and decision dynamics Evaluate each account’s strategic value, revenue potential, and risk profile using data-driven and qualitative analysis Synthesize market, customer, and internal data into clear insights to support account prioritization and strategy development Strategic Account Planning & Sales Enablement Translate account insights into actionable account strategies and entry plans Provide Sales teams with guidance on: Strategic account prioritization Engagement entry points and relationship-building paths Product and OEM solution alignment Phased development and expansion strategies Participate in internal strategy discussions and Go / No-Go decision-making for major account pursuits Support client-facing discussions by articulating value propositions, strategic positioning, and execution considerations when needed OEM / ODM Strategy & Project Scoping Partner with Sales during OEM / ODM discussions to: Clarify customer requirements (features, specifications, cost targets, timelines, compliance) Assess feasibility, commercial viability, and execution risks Translate customer needs into well-defined project scopes, including: High-level product and technical direction Preliminary cost ranges and timeline assumptions Key constraints, dependencies, and risk factors Consolidate inputs from customer feedback, factory technical assessments, internal reviews, and market research to surface key questions and decision points early Collaborate with Product, R&D, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to develop customer-facing OEM solution frameworks OEM Project Management & Cross-Functional Coordination Act as the project owner or core coordinator for OEM / ODM projects during early and/or full project lifecycle Manage multiple projects in parallel, ensuring alignment on scope, cost, timeline, and feasibility Define and track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies Coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain) and China-based manufacturing partners Proactively identify and manage risks related to cost, schedule, technical feasibility, and compliance Provide clear, action-oriented project updates and decision support to stakeholders and management at critical milestones Data Analysis, Reporting & Decision Support Conduct OEM / ODM–related data analysis, including: Project tracking and performance reporting Market and competitive analysis (e.g., China and North America markets) Support ETL, data consolidation, and reporting efforts to improve visibility and decision quality Maintain accurate project documentation and analytical outputs to support ongoing and future initiatives Knowledge Development & Process Optimization Conduct post-project and post-engagement reviews for strategic accounts and OEM / ODM initiatives Identify recurring risks, best practices, and scalable approaches Contribute to: Strategic Account Playbooks OEM / ODM evaluation frameworks Front-end decision-making processes and SOP development Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree or above Background in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related fields preferred Experience 3–5+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Strategic Account Analysis, Business Analysis, Sales Strategy, or Business Intelligence B2B Sales Support, Business Development, or Key Account support Fluency in Mandarin is required OEM / ODM project management, product planning, or solution management Experience in B2B hardware, manufacturing, electronics, industrial products, or medical devices strongly preferred Core Competencies Strategic & Analytical Thinking Strong ability to synthesize complex data, research, and qualitative inputs into actionable insights Comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels Business & Technical Acumen Solid understanding of OEM / customization dynamics (cost, timeline, risk) Ability to bridge customer expectations, sales objectives, and engineering constraints Project Management & Coordination Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders Comfortable handling ambiguity and parallel workstreams Communication & Influence Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to influence decisions without direct authority #J-18808-Ljbffr
