Job Summary Highmark Health is seeking a highly experienced and data-driven Product Manager to lead key product initiatives within our Case Management (CM) solutions. With 18 years of progressive product management experience, this individual will serve as the expert product owner for strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing CM Operations, driving automation and data interoperability, and enhancing the Member and Provider Experience within the Case Management ecosystem. This role requires a seasoned product professional who can leverage deep domain expertise, advanced data analysis skills, and a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions that align with Highmark's "Know Me," "Guide Me" vision and the CM Portfolio North Star.

Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Execution (Case Management): Own, define, and execute the product strategy and roadmap for specific, high-priority Case Management solutions, addressing CM Operations, Automation & Data Interoperability, and Member/Provider Experience themes. Translate the CM Product Strategy & Roadmap into detailed product requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for engineering and development teams. Manage the full product lifecycle for assigned CM solutions, from discovery and design through development, launch, and post-launch iteration, ensuring solutions meet defined objectives.

Data-Driven Decision Making & Product Analysis: Serve as a champion for data-driven product development, applying expert-level data analysis skills (SQL, BI tools) to thoroughly understand CM workflows, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities. Independently extract, analyze, and interpret complex data from CM systems, member engagement platforms, and other relevant sources to inform product prioritization, design, and performance evaluation. Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned CM products, meticulously analyzing data to measure product success, identify areas for optimization, and quantify value realization.

Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis within the CM technology space, and build compelling business cases using data to support product initiatives and investment recommendations. Case Management Automation & Data Flow Optimization: Drive the product development for automating manual CM processes and optimizing internal data flow, focusing on solutions like EXL Xtrakto Automation, AI Outbound Dialing, Predictal Chat Bot, and AI Real Time Surveillance. Collaborate with the Interoperability team to ensure timely and relevant EMR and other clinical data is effectively integrated into CM workflows, enhancing predictive capabilities and care plan automation (e.g., utilize real-time EMR data to identify and update care plans post provider encounters).

Member & Provider Experience Enhancement: Lead product initiatives aimed at improving the digital experience for members and providers interacting with Case Management (e.g., Digital ADHI, CM Self-Scheduling, CM Asynchronous Messaging). Utilize user research, feedback, and data analytics to design intuitive and efficient tools that enhance communication, collaboration, and engagement within the CM process. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Requirements Definition: Work as the primary liaison between clinical Case Management teams, engineering, UX/UI, and other product pillars to ensure product solutions meet business needs and technical feasibility.

Elicit, synthesize, and clearly communicate detailed product requirements to technical teams, ensuring a shared understanding of product goals and specifications. Regulatory & Compliance Adherence: Ensure all CM product initiatives and features comply with relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and Highmark's internal policies, integrating compliance requirements throughout the product development lifecycle. Required Qualifications (Must Have) 18+ years of progressive product management experience, specifically within healthcare, health plan operations, or care management technology.

Deep and current subject matter expertise in Case Management or Care Coordination workflows, processes, and systems, understanding the needs of case managers, members, and providers. Expert-level proficiency in data analysis.. Demonstrated ability to perform complex independent data analysis, identify trends, validate assumptions, and translate analytical insights directly into product requirements and strategic decisions.

Proven track record of owning product roadmaps and successfully delivering complex software products or technology solutions from inception to launch and optimization. Strong understanding of healthcare data standards and how data is utilized for care management purposes. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product vision, requirements, and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Highly analytical, problem-solver with a meticulous attention to detail and a strategic approach to product challenges. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science). Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience with AI/ML-driven product development, particularly in a healthcare context.

Familiarity with Agile product development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools. Product Management certifications (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, CSPO). Prior experience working within a large payer organization or integrated delivery network.
