Base Location You’ll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Dublin, Reading, Havant, Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Perth. Salary €49,400 - €74,200, performance‑related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family. £49,004 - £57,728 and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family. Role Overview As an experienced AI Product Analyst, you will join SSE’s IT Product Analysis team to lead analysis across our AI domain and support the delivery of high profile, customer‑facing initiatives. You’ll play a key role in driving SSE’s large‑scale transformation by shaping AI‑driven products, ensuring strong data protection practices, and guiding teams toward the highest impact opportunities. A core part of this role is staying ahead of the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
You are genuinely passionate about AI, continually learning about emerging tools and technologies, and monitoring market and competitor activity to help shape our strategy. You Will Lead analysis across AI and IT initiatives, delivering high‑quality product insights, requirements, documentation, and clear as‑is / to‑be process definitions. Drive business analysis work across multiple projects, ensuring delivery within expected time, cost, and quality constraints.
Support creation of Power BI dashboards and reporting to provide performance insights and inform decision‑making. Produce Data Protection and Compliance documentation, identifying and assessing regulatory, data, and technical risks across AI and IT initiatives. Monitor AI market trends, competitor capabilities, and emerging tools while collaborating with Product Managers, Engineering, Data Science, and Business teams to prioritise and deliver the highest‑value work.
You Have Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, responsible AI principles, and the ability to translate model outputs into actionable insights. Skilled in analytics, Power BI (DAX, data modelling) and Databricks. Solid knowledge of GDPR, privacy by design, data governance, and secure data lifecycle management, ensuring all AI and analytics initiatives meet regulatory and internal compliance standards.
Experienced in writing user stories, defining requirements, documenting as‑is/to‑be processes, applying design thinking, and prioritising high‑impact work. Skilled in applying Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, and proficient with Azure DevOps (ADO) and modern product delivery practices. Broad IT foundation with exposure to data pipelines, cloud platforms, system integrations, and modern application architecture.
