Principal Software Engineer - Full Stack

Veeva Systems is a mission‑driven organization helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. We are a fast‑growing SaaS company with over $3B in revenue. The Role Principal Full‑Stack Engineer.

Lead architect‑style ownership of features from design through deployment and support, mentoring junior engineers and advising product leadership on technical direction in a fast‑paced startup environment. What You'll Do Collaborate with Product Management and the development team on technical design and problem solving to develop compelling solutions. Own all aspects of feature implementation—from design to development, deployment to production, and maintenance.

Break down complex problems into actionable solutions, evaluating knowns and unknowns for faster resolution. Mentor and guide engineers at all levels. Define, evangelize, and mentor on best practices and coding standards.

Review code for engineers of all levels. Requirements 12+ years of software development experience. Extensive experience developing enterprise SaaS cloud applications.

Proven track record of building high‑volume products at scale. Hands‑on experience with Java, Spring, MySQL, Hibernate, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, AspectJ, messaging, Solr, and Lucene. Experience with front‑end technologies such as JavaScript and React.

Drive and flexibility to work hard in a fast‑paced startup environment. Strong mentoring record to improve team performance. Must have the unrestricted right to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.

Must be located in the PST or MST time zone. Nice to Have Experience working in an agile environment. Experience with the Spring framework.

The salary range provided is for compliance and may vary with experience and location; additional compensation, such as variable bonus or stock, may be eligible.
