Company: Albertsons Companies. Job Description: The Principal Data Analyst will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making across the e-commerce fulfillment product area. This position is responsible for leading data analysis, generating actionable insights, and supporting the entire product lifecyclefrom discovery to post-launch evaluation.
The Principal Data Analyst will partner closely with product managers to understand business needs, uncover patterns in user behavior, and identify opportunities for product improvement. Additionally, this role will mentor and coach junior analysts, ensuring high analytical standards and fostering a culture of learning within the team. Key Responsibilities: Lead comprehensive data analysis to support product strategy, feature development, and operational improvements.
Generate actionable insights by identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities across the e-commerce fulfillment journey. Partner with product managers to define metrics for product discovery, evaluate experiments, and measure post-launch outcomes. Design and implement dashboards and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
Apply advanced SQL and data extraction techniques to analyze large, complex datasets efficiently and accurately. Utilize machine learning concepts to identify predictive trends and support intelligent automation initiatives in fulfillment. Mentor and coach junior analysts, reviewing their work and sharing best practices in data analysis and communication.
Collaborate with engineering, UX, and business teams to ensure alignment on goals, requirements, and success measures. 69 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar data-driven role. Demonstrated expertise in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Strong understanding and practical application of machine learning concepts in a business or product context.
Experience working with product managers and cross-functional teams in an e-commerce or technology environment. Advanced skills in SQL and data extraction from large, complex datasets. Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and deliver clear, actionable insights.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present data and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with data visualization tools and reporting platforms. Mentoring and coaching junior team members.
Ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders. Analytical mindset and curiosity for identifying patterns and solving problems. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data work.
