Role Objective As a PostgreSQL Developer, you will be the backbone of our data layer. You will design, develop, and optimize complex database systems that support high-traffic applications. Your goal is to ensure data integrity, security, and peak performance across all our PostgreSQL environments.

Key Responsibilities Database Development: Design and implement robust database schemas, tables, and dictionary structures. Programming: Write and maintain high-performance PL/pgSQL, including complex stored procedures, triggers, and views. Performance Engineering: Analyze query execution plans using EXPLAIN ANALYZE and implement optimizations such as indexing (B-tree, GIN, GiST) and partitioning.

Data Integrity: Ensure the consistency and reliability of data through proper normalization and constraint management. Maintenance: Monitor database performance, perform regular vacuuming, and manage bloating issues. Collaboration: Work closely with Backend Engineers and PMO to translate business requirements into efficient data models.

Migration: Manage data migration, transformation, and scripting using Git for version control. Technical Skills & Requirements Education: B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related Engineering discipline. Core Experience: 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience in PostgreSQL development and administration.

SQL Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of SQL, including window functions, CTEs, and complex joins. Optimization: Strong experience in tuning slow queries and understanding PostgreSQL internals (WAL, Buffer Cache). Tools: Proficiency with pgAdmin, DBeaver, and command-line psql.

Security: Knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and data encryption practices. Advantageous: Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS/Aurora) or NoSQL features within PostgreSQL (JSONB). Preferred Attributes Immediate Availability: Candidates who can join immediately or within 15 days.
