Become a key contributor at Alberta Grains as a Policy Analyst, focusing on policy development and advocacy impacting wheat and barley producers in Alberta. Utilize your analytical skills to address market and regulatory challenges effectively. As a Policy Analyst, you will report to the Director of Government Relations, Policy and Markets, providing essential research and analysis on timely policy and market issues.
You'll create briefing materials, develop policy positions, and support strategic initiatives that enhance the profitability of Alberta's farmers while collaborating with industry stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough research on emerging agricultural policies • Develop clear, actionable policy recommendations • Create high-quality advocacy materials and documentation • Collaborate with stakeholders through surveys and interviews • Track legislative changes impacting agricultural sectors Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, or related field • 3–5 years experience in policy analysis, preferably in agriculture • Strong research and analytical skills • Exceptional writing abilities for diverse audiences • Knowledge of agricultural economics and trade policies Leverage your expertise in policy analysis to drive meaningful change for Alberta's grain producers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
