Job Description The Plumbing Engineer works closely with more experienced engineers and assists in the development of Plumbing deliverables. Thisindividual is expected to execute work on one or more intermediate level tasks simultaneously as delegated by the Lead or Sr.
Plumbing Engineer. This role will have the ability to successfully support all phases of design including planning, feasibility, scope and concept development, detailed design, construction documentation and construction administration. Responsibilities Interfaceswith clientsand external partners.
Developsconstruction drawing packages and writesconstruction specifications on basic projects of limited complexity with oversight. Participatesand contributesto squadchecksand overall commitment to producing quality deliverables. Providesmentorship to Plumbing Designer I.
Participatesin basic project system design programming and master planning with support fromLead or Senior Engineer. Executeswork on one or more intermediate level tasks simultaneously as delegated by the Lead or Sr. Plumbing Engineer.
Assistsin the drafting,design,and development of fire protection performance criteria drawings. Delegatessome basic and fundamental tasks to Entry-Level and Design staff. Successfully supportsall phases of design including planning, feasibility, scope and concept development, detailed design, constructiondocumentation and construction administration.
Worksclosely with more experienced engineers andassistsin the development of Plumbing deliverables. Providesbasic support of construction activities such asRFIresponses, submittal reviews, punch list developmentand construction progress reports. Develops and expandsability to coordinate effectively with other disciplines, delegates, interactswith clients and managesscopes of work and deliverables.
Qualifications ABET-accreditedBachelor’sdegree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering Minimum of 3 years of experience Proficiency in Revit Basic experience with performing engineering calculations(such as plumbing fixture and drainage units and storm water), and developing and implementing plumbingsanitary waste drainage, venting, storm water and service piping systems designsunder asupervisor Basic experience with the plumbing/mechanical/fire/building codes Preferred Qualifications ProficiencyinAutoCADand NavisWorks Proficiencyin Microsoft Officesuite and Bluebeam Revu LEED, WELL or other sustainable design accreditedprofessionalor, experience with sustainable plumbing designs Basic experience with other applicable industry standards Basic experience conducting and leading field surveys of existing conditions and support of fieldreporting Proficient with basic internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination Proficient with basic coordination with construction trade partners, vendors and manufacturers Additional Information We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
