Platform Engineer

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year Requirements Current, active SC Clearance is mandatory. 8–10 years of engineering experience. Proven track record as a Senior Platform Engineer. Strong, deep expertise with the Kong Konnect API Platform.

Advanced knowledge of AWS services including EC2, NLB, API Gateway, and ASG. Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Practical experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.

Experience with Jenkins, including multibranch pipelines and Groovy scripting. Experience with GitHub Actions. Strong skills in Python, Chef, and Linux command‑line troubleshooting.

Solid understanding of DNS, TLS, routing, VPNs, and edge platforms such as Cloudflare. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Based in or commutable to Leeds, with the ability to work onsite 3 days per week.

Open to occasional travel to London. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain highly efficient, reusable, and reliable AWS platform solutions. Implement advanced CI/CD frameworks to support secure and rapid deployments.

Work closely with cross‑functional product teams, including designers, product managers, and analysts. Bridge the gap between development and infrastructure. Feed engineering insights into wider Strategy & Architecture teams to influence technical direction.

Author clear procedures and policies to future‑proof system infrastructure. Architect and optimize enterprise cloud solutions. Contribute to the technical direction of the organization through hands‑on engineering insight.
