Planning Manager (Portland)

We’re hiring a Planning Manager to own both day‑to‑day and long‑term maintenance planning for a fleet-based operation. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, improving availability, and aligning priorities across multiple teams. What You’ll Be Doing Own day-to-day maintenance planning, including reviewing program requirements, deferred items, and building daily maintenance plans for each station Develop long-term maintenance strategies for major events (e.g., landing gear replacements on ~12-year cycles) Combine and sequence work to reduce downtime and maximize fleet availability Communicate plans, constraints, and priorities across Maintenance, Planning, Engineering, and Operations teams Act as the central coordination point to keep maintenance execution aligned and on schedule What We’re Looking For Experience in maintenance planning or a strong operational environment Backgrounds we’re open to include: Airline or aviation maintenance Military aviation Fleet maintenance (trucking, motors, heavy equipment, etc.) Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance short-term needs and long-term strategy Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating with multiple stakeholder groups
