Description:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
  
• Measure, mix, count out, label, and record medication dosages.
  
• Receive and confirm prescription orders from patients and medical professionals.
  
• Enter patient and prescription information into pharmacy computer systems.
  
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  
• Manage pharmacy inventory and place orders for stock as needed.
  
• Answer customer questions, provide information about medications, and direct complex inquiries to the pharmacist.
  
• Process insurance claims and resolve any billing issues.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  
• Comply with all regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA and pharmacy laws.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  
• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent is preferred.
  
• State licensure
  
• Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  
• Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems.
