Operations Engineer/ Mechanical Engineer

Are you a Mechanical or Metrology focused Engineer with hands on calibration and CMM experience? As a trusted UK Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Calibration & Metrology team in Bolton. This is a technically engaging role supporting manufacturing across assembly, integration and test, working closely with production, quality and engineering teams to ensure measurement accuracy and equipment performance at every stage of the build process. Deliver hands on mechanical calibration support for COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) and Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE) Support CMM inspection activities, including operating and updating measurement programmes Provide day to day metrology and measurement support to manufacturing teams, fixtures and tooling HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline) Background in manufacturing, defence, aerospace or other regulated environments Experience providing technical support within a production setting Youll be part of a specialist calibration and metrology function supporting critical defence manufacturing programmes.
