Nurse Supervisor / Director of Nursing

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care within a nursing home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, with a focus on patient-centered care. This role involves managing nursing staff, overseeing patient care protocols, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the quality of care provided to residents. Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans. Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and MDS assessments to maintain optimal operational standards.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote holistic patient care and improve health outcomes. Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff on best practices in anatomy, physiology, and patient management. Monitor patient health status and coordinate necessary interventions to address any changes in condition.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Experience Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in assisted living or nursing home environments. Strong background in hospice care or home care services is preferred.

In-depth knowledge of MDS processes and Medicare regulations is essential. Familiarity with anatomy and physiology as it relates to patient care practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
