We’re Hiring | New Zealand Student Recruitment Consultant – India Student Counselling | Education Sales | Remote Contractor Engagement Choose New Zealand Education + Migration is expanding our India student recruitment network, and we are looking for an experienced, sales-focused New Zealand Education Consultant to work closely with our Auckland office. This role is ideal for someone who understands international education sales, enjoys student counselling, follows up consistently, and has a strong record of converting qualified enquiries into submitted applications and enrolled students. Candidates in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru or Chennai will be given preference. Engagement: Long-term contractor engagement Commitment: Full-time equivalent involvement Expected Availability: Approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility for student and parent consultations during evenings or weekends when required. We officially represent New Zealand universities and education providers. Our Auckland office supports students and families through the full study journey, including course selection, application preparation, admissions coordination, student visa preparation support and settlement guidance. As we grow our presence in India, we are looking for a consultant who can build trust with students and parents, provide high-quality counselling, and convert qualified enquiries into successful student outcomes.

About the Role This is a student recruitment and consultative sales role with a strong conversion focus. You will manage prospective student enquiries, conduct consultations with students and parents, understand each student’s academic background, financial position, study goals and career plans, and recommend suitable New Zealand study pathways using company-approved guidance. Once students are ready to proceed with an application, our Auckland office will support the admissions and visa preparation process, allowing you to focus on counselling, follow-up, conversion and new student recruitment.

We invest significantly in digital marketing and provide consultants with qualified student enquiries, allowing you to focus on counselling and conversion rather than prospecting or cold calling. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Contact and manage prospective student enquiries through phone, WhatsApp, email, video calls and company-approved communication channels. Conduct detailed consultations with students and parents.

Understand each student’s academic background, financial situation, career goals and study preferences. Recommend suitable New Zealand study pathways, including university, polytechnic, private training establishment and pathway options where appropriate. Explain general New Zealand study information, including admission requirements, English requirements, tuition fees, living costs and the general student visa preparation process using company-approved guidance.

Build strong trust with students and parents throughout the decision-making process. Follow up consistently and professionally with prospective students. Guide qualified students from enquiry through to application and enrolment.

Maintain complete and up-to-date lead records, consultation notes and follow-up updates in Zoho CRM after every student interaction. Work closely with our Auckland office to ensure smooth handover once students are ready to apply. Achieve agreed monthly lead management, application and conversion targets.

Support marketing and student recruitment activities when required. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will have: 3 to 4 years of experience in international education counselling, student recruitment or education sales. Previous experience with the New Zealand education market is strongly preferred.

Good understanding of New Zealand study pathways, institutions, admission processes and student visa documentation requirements. Strong ability to convert student enquiries into submitted applications and enrolled students. Excellent communication skills in English and relevant Indian languages.

Strong sales, persuasion, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Confidence in speaking with both students and parents. Strong follow-up discipline and CRM record-keeping habits.

A target-driven mindset and ability to work independently from home. Good understanding of student and parent concerns when choosing New Zealand as a study destination. Candidates with strong education sales experience but limited New Zealand-specific experience may also be considered if they are highly trainable and have a proven conversion record.

Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following areas will be an advantage: Zoho CRM, HubSpot, Salesforce or other education CRM systems. WhatsApp Business or structured student communication channels. Working with marketing-generated student enquiries.

Overseas education counselling for destinations such as New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the UK or the US. Consultative sales, student recruitment or parent-facing education advisory roles. Operational Requirements The successful consultant must have: Own laptop.

Own mobile phone. Reliable high-speed internet connection. A quiet and professional work-from-home environment.

Sufficient availability to manage assigned student enquiries and achieve agreed performance targets. Flexibility to speak with students and parents during evenings or weekends when required. Willingness to use company systems, including Zoho CRM and approved communication channels.

The company will provide business communication support, including India-based contact numbers where available, so that client relationships and communication records remain properly managed by the company. Compliance and Professional Standards The successful consultant will be expected to: Use company-approved communication channels and CRM systems. Maintain complete and up-to-date CRM records after every student interaction.

Keep student information, institutional information and company processes strictly confidential. Ensure all student enquiries, client information, CRM notes and communication records remain the property of Choose New Zealand Education + Migration. Not divert prospective students, institutions, agents or business opportunities away from the company.

Not make unauthorised promises regarding admission, scholarships, visas, employment outcomes or migration pathways. Use only company-approved guidance when discussing student visa preparation or related matters. Not collect student payments or make financial commitments on behalf of the company unless expressly authorised in writing.

Follow company policies relating to student communication, data handling, marketing claims and professional conduct. Performance Expectations This is a performance-based student recruitment role. Performance will be reviewed regularly based on: Lead response time.

Follow-up consistency. Consultation quality. CRM compliance.

Application conversion. Offer acceptance. Enrolment completion.

Student satisfaction. Actual performance targets will be discussed with shortlisted candidates and agreed before the engagement begins. Compensation and Engagement Details We offer: A fixed monthly retainer, based on experience, capability and demonstrated performance.

This role will be structured as a contractor engagement rather than an employment position. The successful consultant will work remotely from India and will be engaged through a monthly retainer and performance incentive arrangement.
