Job Description
Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a global leader in the aerospace industry, headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec. Responsibilities Collaborate with project teams to capture and document project requirements and propose solutions for the physical and logical network layer based on existing technologies. Configure network equipment for offices and industrial networks, including switches, firewalls, access points, wireless controllers, and monitoring tools, using infrastructure automation tools (infrastructure as code).
Propose improvements to existing infrastructure and act as technical lead to modernize infrastructure with internal and external partners. Update network hardware and software to ensure compliance of all network equipment. Coordinate and manage small network infrastructure projects.
Provide level 3 support to resolve complex issues. Ensure alignment with corporate standards and cybersecurity compliance. Travel as needed to the North Shore and South Shore of Montreal, and occasional trips to Canadian sites.
Qualifications Strong knowledge of network architecture, network security, engineering, and operations, including WLAN, LAN, WAN, DDI, VPN, proxy, Web hosting, DMZ firewalls, data center network, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure). Experience with network segmentation – micro and macro SDN, Cisco DNA, Cisco ISE. Proficiency in creating physical and logical architecture diagrams in Draw.io and Visio.
More than 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of large networks. Strong analytical, diagnostic, communications, and collaboration skills. French‑speaking work environment; excellent English reading, writing, and communication skills are required.
Valid Cisco certifications preferred. University degree in a related field is an asset. Experience in industrial networks is an asset.
