We are eagerly seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team.
In this role, you’ll have the choice of joining our Fredericton or Halifax office, while also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid work model. In recent years, we have prioritized significant investments to our physical office space to provide a bright, vibrant, highly functional, technologically advanced, and collaborative working environment for our team. Regardless of your physical location, you will have the ability to collaborate seamlessly with EXP’s multidisciplinary team from within the region and across the company on some of Atlantic Canada’s largest and most exciting water and wastewater infrastructure projects!
If desired, you will also be given the opportunity to contribute to unique and challenging projects outside of Atlantic Canada as well. Your Role & Responsibilities Preparing and detailing 3D models and engineering drawings for water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to process equipment and piping layouts, booster stations, water reservoirs, lift stations (from concept to final), etc. Creating Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
Generating material quantities and cost estimates. Preparing presentation graphics and report figures. Collaborating with a multidiscipline project team.
Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Understanding and adhering to EXP and client drawing standards. Qualifications & Experience Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent).
Relevant experience in the design and construction of municipal and/or industrial water and wastewater infrastructure with an emphasis on process design. Working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, MS Word, MS Excel. Strong work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail.
