Summary: The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for conceptualizing and designing automated equipment in accordance with customer and internal specifications. Responsibilities: · Design cam, servo, and air-operated stations, and modify existing designs. · Execute cam (drive) design. · Ensure designs are functional, robust, and cost-effective. · Incorporate standards and regulatory requirements using innovation and good judgment. · Research and specify appropriate materials and purchased components. · Create detailed drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials, organize release packages, and update drawings. · Participate in internal and customer design reviews. · Prepare pneumatic and timing diagrams and select appropriate sensors. · Collaborate with suppliers to develop functional and economical design solutions. · Adhere to project schedules and budgets. · Solve design or detail issues and update relevant documentation. · Communicate ideas and comprehend information both verbally and in written form. · Integrate well within a team, demonstrating objectivity and openness to other views. · Follow policies and procedures to meet ISO 9001 certification requirements. · Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal and international standards. · Comply with the terms and conditions of the employee work-from-home policy. · Set and maintain departmental goals aligned with company objectives. · Support and participate in the quality management program. · Provide necessary documentation and support for machinery operating manuals. · Make recommendations for quality and cost improvements. · Stay current with product developments. · Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications: · College degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. · 2-6 years of automation machine design experience. · Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD systems.
