About the Role CBG (Compressed Biogas) Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading sales strategy, and market expansion of CBG sales in Bagalkot GA, Karnataka and Adjacent GAs. The role involves driving CBG gas sales, executing offtake agreements, managing customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and contractual requirements of CBG gas sales. The Position will be reporting to Chief Operating Officer of TruAlt Gas Private Limited.
Responsibilities Execute offtake agreements for CBG as per Tripartite Agreement under CBG-CGD synchronization scheme with destinated CGD entities Track market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments Coordinate with operations and logistics teams for supply chain optimization Achieve revenue targets, sales KPIs, and profitability objectives Identify pipeline connectivity to the Production Units and nearest CGD entity or Gas Network Operator pipeline networks Conduct Feasibility study for CBG direct pipeline injection jointly with stakeholders such as CGD entities, Nodal Agency GAIL and MoPNG. Identify and evaluate sales expansion to other Gas demand sectors in domestic, commercial and industrial customers Manage key accounts including OMCs, CGD companies, and large industrial offtakers Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, and long-term supply contracts Represent the organization in industry forums and stakeholder engagements Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in CBG, biogas, natural gas, or gas distribution industry Prior experience working with CGD companies, OMCs, or energy infrastructure firms preferred Demonstrated track record in achieving sales targets and developing new markets Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred Required Skills Strong understanding of CBG, biogas, LNG/CNG, and gas distribution markets Proven expertise in B2B sales, contract negotiation, and key account management Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., CBG-CGD Synchro Scheme, SATAT, PNGRB guidelines) Financial acumen including pricing models and project viability assessment Excellent communication, presentation, & stakeholder management skills Ability to develop market entry and expansion strategies Preferred Skills Strategic thinking and commercial orientation Leadership and team management Result-driven and target-focused approach Problem-solving and analytical capability Strong negotiation and influencing skills Adaptability in a dynamic energy market environment
