As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role driving continuous improvement, ensuring reliability, and championing operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment at a top U.S. manufacturing hub.

Responsibilities Lead and manage all plant engineering functions, setting priorities aligned with organizational and operational goals. Develop and implement engineering strategies, policies, and procedures to support manufacturing excellence and efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, and system reliability across facilities.

Oversee plant facility and electrical power infrastructure, ensuring compliance, capacity planning, and optimal operation of utility systems. Lead automation initiatives including process controls, mixer systems, and integration of advanced manufacturing technologies. Manage capital projects such as equipment installations, facility upgrades, and production expansions, ensuring successful project delivery within budget and timelines.

Oversee engineering-related data management systems, including ERP, reporting, and AS400 integration. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, IT, and Logistics to optimize material flow, throughput, and system efficiency. Supervise and mentor an engineering team, fostering talent development and cross-functional collaboration.

Must-Have Skills Minimum 5+ years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally plastics or related industries. Expertise in plant engineering systems, utilities, automation, and production equipment operations. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and industrial infrastructure.

Experience leading capital projects, equipment implementations, and facility expansions. Familiarity with ERP systems (AS400 preferred), data integration, and manufacturing technologies. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).

Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver complex engineering projects efficiently. Nice-to-Have Skills Professional Engineer (PE) license. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE). OSHA 30 Certification.

Experience with automation systems, PLCs, and plant-level controls. Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and reporting tools. Background supervising large engineering teams in a collaborative manufacturing environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
